This lovely top floor flat was Ardesia Design's second project on Clanricarde Gardens Road in trendy Notting Hill. Client’s brief was to create an open-plan kitchen and a living room area by demolishing an existing

load-bearing wall between two rooms.

New kitchen with a “linen-effect” finish was imported from Spain and fitted together with a natural marble worktop. Over two meters long custom made floating shelves were fitted above the kitchen base units to keep the space as airy and minimal as possible. In order to achieve this sleek look of long continues shelving we proposed to use a counter top downdraft extractor, being hidden from the view behind the hob when not in use.

In the living room area we designed some custom made joinery with a concrete worktop and an integrated

bio-ethanol fireplace. Both shelving systems in the kitchen and in the living room have integrated LED-strip mood lighting below them.

Clients’ bathroom was updated with a custom made mirror cabinet and a new wooden effect basin unit, accommodating two counter top basins. Basin unit with a matching splash back was supplied by the same Spanish company as the kitchen.

We decided to keep walls and new "Bianco" engineered wooden floor within a light colour scheme to reflect all natural light coming through a skylight window.

From two small and dark rooms we created one bright and full of  light space, accommodating a stylish kitchen and a trendy minimal living room.
